On May 13th, the Department of Parks and Recreation released their proposed list of 70 park closures due to a $22 million general fund budget cut. The California State Park Foundation is hosting a photography competition to bring attention to this situation. Do you have great photos taken in a California State Park? It can be a landscape, a detail of a flower, a building, or even people interacting with the land. If so, enter the competition. You keep the copyright to your image – and that’s important. There is no fee to enter, so you’ve got nothing to lose. Give it a try.
